PAIDFAQ
Questions, answered.
Is it really private?
Yes. The chat is read on your iPhone. Receipts has no servers to send it to, no account and no analytics. The exported file is deleted once it has been read, and the stats are cleared when you close the story. Our privacy policy has the details.
Which chats work?
Group chats and one-to-one chats exported as a text file or zip, from an iPhone or an Android phone, in many date formats and languages. Exporting Without Media is quickest.
Why can't I see voice notes?
Some exports, mostly from Android without media, don't say which attachments were voice notes. Receipts never guesses, so it hides that slide and tells you why. Export from an iPhone, or with media, to see it.
Are the numbers real?
Every number is counted from your export. Nothing is estimated or padded. If a stat can't be worked out from your file, Receipts leaves it out.
Should I tell the group?
The cards show people's names, so share them kindly and only import chats you're part of. The best awards are the ones everyone laughs at.
What do I need?
An iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Settings in the app, or the All Chats Pass screen, and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple ID you bought it with.
Is Receipts made by WhatsApp or Meta?
No. Receipts is an independent app made by SocialVibe LLC. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by WhatsApp or Meta.
